Copa Hosts Benefit for Sanctuary Palm Springs<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Emerald Kingdom presents “Royal Midsummer Madness”, to benefit LGBTQ youth charity Sanctuary Palm Springs, the only LGBTQ foster home in the country, and a special tribute to our own Pinkie Meringue Shimmer for her charity work and fundraising.<\/p>\n

Along with spectacular performances, there will be a silent auction with many special items, a 50\/50 Raffle, and a brand new headdress created by Kevin Baar will be auctioned off during the event. Drink Specials, entertainment from all over, and even a quick Investiture to make everything official.<\/p>\n

Please joins us July 10th from 6-9 PM at Copa, help support this wonderful charity and have a great time!<\/p>\n

Hot Summer Nights at The Desert Rose Playhouse<\/strong><\/p>\n

Party<\/em>, the hilarious Off-Broadway smash hit about 7 friends who play \u201ctruth or dare\u201d at a party… and wind up revealing everything!<\/p>\n

The wildly popular comedy depicts a group of gay men getting together for their regular evening of drinks and games. Tonight, the game is a gay version of \u201cTruth or Dare\u201d called “Fact Or Fantasy”. True-life stories are shared, fictional encounters related, and fantasies often require the player to remove some clothing. By the end of the evening, everyone is nude – laughing and dancing together in a great show of brotherhood.<\/p>\n

Playwright David Dillon says, \u201cParty<\/em> is not about flesh, but celebrates the fact that, as a group, we are positive and honest about our sexuality and free from a lot of the inhibitions and hang ups that exist in other groups.”<\/p>\n

Party<\/em> has a terrific wide appeal. According to a cast member, \u201cThey come for the nudity, but come again because it is such a funny, positive and affirming event. We\u2019ve had gay men, straight couples, bachelorette parties, and all sorts of people in the audience and<\/p>\n

everyone has a great time!\u201d<\/p>\n

Talented performer John Fryer and young Los Angeles actor Jacob Betts as the na\u00efve gay newcomer \u201cAndy\u201d join Desert Rose Playhouse company members Miguel Arballo, Jason Hull, Allan Jensen, Kam Sisco and Robbie Wayne.<\/p>\n
